Technology Consultant Job Summary:
  • Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert and technical lead for Network Operation applications, client hardware, software, management tools, and infrastructure.
  • Provide problem analysis, solutions, and recommendations for Network Operations applications technical issues affecting client provisioning, deployment, maintenance and support.
  • Act as an internal and external technical liaison for various Projects.
  • Provide technical consulting and deployment support to the Network Operations customer.
  • Provide technical consulting and support for Network Operations applications deployed in the infrastructure.
  • Develop technical solutions and documentation in support of assigned programs.
  • Deliver technical solutions and Tier 3 support for assigned programs.

Technology Consultant Background:
  • BS in technology field and/or equivalent experience
  • Must have knowledge of hardware concepts, such as firmware updates and patches
  • Ability to specify hardware selections at an enterprise or project level to include experience implementing and supporting: servers w/fault tolerance and remote management; client platforms and their remote support; WLAN technology; various Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft client and server operating systems and associated installation, configuration, support and management best practices.
  • Knowledge of MobiControl Mobile Device Management (MDM).
    • Scripting
    • Deployment methodology
    • Agent configuration
    • Device profiles
  • Knowledge Android and/or iOS (Extensive knowledge is a plus).
  • Comprehensive understanding of software installation technology and processes,
  • Extensive experience in scripting and automation of installation, deployment
  • Basic html knowledge needed to change device configurations within an MDM (MobiControl) Network
  • Must have working knowledge in Understanding:
    • VLANS
    • Subnets
    • How to troubleshoot connectivity
    • Ability to troubleshooting and testing devices connectivity
    • Understanding of layer 1 and layer 2.
  • Ability to understand concepts and theory involved in above, and to use this understanding to: architect solutions, develop white papers, and identify root causes for complex technical problems.
  • Ability to interface with executives and high-level managers and to provide technical recommendations and advice on technical issues and strategy.
  • Ability to write detailed, complex documents for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and enhance professional relationships with peers, vendors and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and to deal with conflict / crisis (i.e. realize something is important or will quickly become critical) on large-scale products.
  • Commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Ability to learn independently, research products and technologies using the internet & documentation, and to problem solve as well as to assume a technical leadership role as needed.

  • Candidates must be a US Citizen, or have a permanent residence status (Green Card).
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
