Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Job Summary:
  • The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides quality healthcare in a culturally sensitive, competent, caring manner to empower patients to attain their highest level of health, physically and beyond.
  • As primary health care provider assesses the physical needs of the patient and implement a plan of care through diagnostic, preventative and therapeutic services responsive to the diverse needs of families and the community.
  • The NP functions as an independent healthcare provider with an advanced degree of knowledge, skill, and expertise in history taking, physical exams, health assessments, and promoting healthy outcomes of members.
Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Background:
  • Valid, unrestricted state Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) certification and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (A.P.R.N.) license.
  • Graduation from an accredited program of study leading to Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), preferably with an emphasis as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Public Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner and state authority for advanced practice including possession of prescription and dispensing privileges
  • Requires current and valid American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification, or within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have at least 3-5 years previous Public Health, Community Health or primary health care experience.
  • Prefer prior experience working with Native American populations and/or programs.
  • Occasional travel may be required, candidates should have valid State of Arizona driver's license.
