RN Unit Manager Job Summary:
 
  • The RN unit manager assumes 24 hour responsibility and accountability for resident care on assigned unit(s).
  • Ensures the facility operates in accordance with the current federal, state guidelines and regulations, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all time.
  • Directs and manages nursing care on assigned unit(s) 24 hours/7 days per week.
  • Ensures staff coverage for 24 hours/7 days a week operations
  • Ensure complete and prompt reporting of incidents with follow up as indicated with the Director of Nursing and or the Administrator.
  • Holds monthly staff meeting to include all shift.
  • Reviews applications for admission to the unit Admissions Coordinator and or Director of Nursing.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures based on identified needs.
  • Support a Culture of Kindness through collaboration with Cultural Customer Service.
 
RN Unit Manager Health Background:
 
  • Requires current State of Arizona license in behavioral health field, such as Social Worker (LCSW/LMSW/LBSW), Counselor (LPC/LAC/LISAC/LASAC/LSAT), or Therapist (LMFT/LAMFT).
  • Requires Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or closely related field.
  • Requires CPR certificate within 30 days of hire.
  • Requires around 2-3 years of case management experience, preferably working with Native American populations and/or programs.
  • Must have at least 3-4 years clinical supervision experience.
  • Occasional travel may be required, candidates should have valid State of Arizona driver's license.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card is required for pediatric roles; candidates must be eligible upon hire.
