Perform Intelligence Gathering and Assessment using open source internet analysis tools, and data analysis and reporting.

Task 1: Intelligent Gathering and Assessment

• Evaluating Internet information from social media, chats, forums, darknet, Tor network, news feeds, internet relay chats and other sources of data openly available on the Internet.
• Perform assessment of the data to identify the most critical and reliable data in order to identify , bitcoins, locations, accounts, services, travels, email addresses, IP addresses and other pattern of life data to determine physical attribution of an Internet identity.
• Capable of creating intelligence and investigative reports representing steps taken, the data sources reviewed and conclusions drawn from evaluation of Internet information.

Task 2: Open Source Internet Analysis Tools

• Demonstrate experience in using cyber intelligence tools and software tools to actively search and mine the publicly available Internet and the darknet/deep web.
• Advanced understanding of methods used by cyber-criminals to hide on the Internet, how the cyber-criminals conduct online business and what are the various market places and forums the cyber-criminals operate within.
• Capable to use technology solutions to actively search, analyze and prioritize the various market places and cyber-criminals to identify high value targets for the USPIS investigators.

Task 3: Data Analysis and Reporting

• Demonstrate experience to represent analysis and research results using tabular, pictorial or graphical techniques.
• Demonstrate experience in such visual tools as Microstrategy, Tableau and/or i2 Analyst Notebook.
• Demonstrate experience with delivering summary results to various levels of an organization in formats which are easy to understand; showing conclusions and relationships

Security Clearance Requirements: Sensitive Background Check; US Citizen or Must have lived with the United States for at least 5 years so that USPIS can conduct a background investigation.

Extensive experience (7+ years) in information security operations and/or related IT operational functions

Bachelor degree in an information technology discipline

CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more required)
  • CompTIA Net+
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Security +
  • CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
  • GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst
Candidates must have all required skills/experience to be considered.
