Director of Quality Management Job Summary:
  • Leads the advancement and integration of quality assessment and quality performance improvement strategies for health plan Medicaid and Medicare products in collaboration with senior leadership and service delivery management. 
  • Works to advance company status as a world-class health plan to the community and regulatory agencies. 
  • Develops, implements and refines quality and safety programs at the inter-professional level through consultation, program activities and collaboration across Provider Services.
  • Oversees the development of quality metrics to support performance improvement initiatives and quality/compliance oversight.  
  • Builds shared vision to incorporate a culture that is data driven and aligns with evidenced based best practices that are compliant with CMS and State requirements. 
  • Leads special initiatives and ongoing efforts in areas of quality assessment and practice improvement. 
  • Facilitates and supports operational changes and activities which further quality improvement and clinical staff development goals.   
Director of Quality Management Background: 
  • Requires Bachelor degree; Master’s in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, is highly preferred.
  • At least 6 years experience in Quality Management/Quality Improvement at a Managed Care Organization, such as Health Plan, IPA, Medical Group, or HMO.
  • Around 4 years progressive managerial and strategic leadership experience in Health Plans or long term care, home or community based health care organization.
  • Prefer certification in either CPHQ or ABQAURP.
  • Demonstrable understanding of attaining National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation.
  • Strong computer skills, at a minimum, proficient in data analysis and MS Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Possess planning, organizing, conflict resolution, negotiating and interpersonal skills
